The Roman Ridge School Pays Homage to Ghanaian Culture on Independence Day

The Roman Ridge School (TRRS) celebrated Independence Day in grand style with an impressive and colorful display of Ghanaian culture, history, and tradition.

Pupils, parents, and staff worked together to prepare a vibrant cultural showcase inspired by various regional areas across Ghana.

Under the expert tutelage of the Abibigromma Theatre Company (University of Ghana – School of Performing Arts), pupils of TRRS prepared an array of authentic cultural performances, depicting a variety of important traditional celebrations, through creative medleys of traditional dance, drumming, dramatisations and music.

The event began with the TRRS Staff & Parent Choir’s rousing performance of Ghana’s National Anthem and Yεn Ara Asaase Ni, followed by the recital of the National Pledge.

The event was hosted by Joy Sports’ Nathaniel Attoh and attended by the special guest of honour Nana Osim Kwatia II (Akuapem Gyaasehene & Chief of Amanokrom – Eastern Region and Member of the TRRS Academic Board of Governors) and Rev. Dr Joyce R. Aryee (Chair of the TRRS Board of Governors).
