Maame Yaa Adutwum pays a visit to HE The First Lady Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo

Under the theme: My Role Model, select TRRS pupils submitted pieces of artwork to the UK Independent Association of Prep School (IAPS) Art Competition in May 2022. This is an annual international art competition organised by the UK Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS). This year, participants were asked to create a portrait of someone who inspires and motivates them, someone they admire and someone they would like to emulate when they grow up.

One of our participants for this year’s competition was Maame Yaa Adutwum (Class 4 – Age 9), who chose Ghana’s First Lady Her Excellency Rebecca Akufo-Addo as her role model, for the positive impact she continues to have on the youth of Ghana. Maame Yaa’s artwork showed originality and a creative use of a variety of media which was encapsulated by the authenticity and sincerity of her message.

Much appreciation goes to Maame Yaa’s Art Teacher, Mrs. Benedicta Sackey-Clarke and to the Art Team that coordinated the IAPS art competition: Mrs. Viviane Sowah, Mr. Alex Boamah & Mrs. Anastasia Solomon.

Our heartiest congratulations to Maame Yaa and to all who participated in this competition.

A job well done!
