The Roman Ridge School is positively thrilled and excited to announce that Nii Odartey Elorm Manyo-Plange has been named First Runner-Up at the 2022 National Spelling Bee Competition, held at the Alisa Hotel in Accra on the 5th of February 2022. Nii Odartey, who is a Class 6 West student, performed excellently at the regional level and was short-listed for the National Spelling Bee Finals alongside 115 top spellers from schools across Ghana. After an exhaustive 12 challenging rounds of spelling, Nii Odartey prevailed as First Runner-Up!
It must be said that this is the fourth time Nii Odartey has participated in the competition and we applaud his crowning performance and his determination and commitment to achieving excellence.
As First Runner-Up, Nii Odartey received an array of exciting prizes, including a trip to Nairobi, Kenya, sponsored by Kenya Airways, a cash prize and a fully installed DStv HD Zapper decoder with 3 months’ complimentary subscription.
