In line with our commitment to ensure our students are strongly rooted in the history, culture and heritage of Ghana, and Africa as a whole, Form 1 students of TRRS embarked on an enriching educational excursion to the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park on 4th & 5th November 2024.
During the visit, students toured the mausoleum, learning about Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s life and legacy through artefacts, photographs, and historical documents. Interactive sessions with the knowledgeable tour guides sparked students’ interest and curiosity, fostering a deeper understanding and knowledge of the mausoleum’s historical significance.
Students later reflected on their experiences through discussions and written reflections which were insightful and moving.
The visit was truly enlightening and left students with a sense of national pride and a deeper appreciation for Ghana’s rich and poignant history.
We are grateful to the Social Studies Department, especially Mr. Daniel Dodoo (History Teacher), for leading and co-ordinating this excursion.
