Black History Month is a month-long celebration of Black heroes and pioneers who have transformed and shaped our world.
On Thursday 16th February 2023, TRRS held a Black History concert to highlight the month-long programme. The concert, which had parents in attendance, began with a poetry recital.
Students then took to the stage and displayed outstanding knowledge and admiration of African icons through a plethora of performances like spoken word, dances, biographies about various African personalities, singing, exhibition of artworks and others.
This served as a great platform for students to salute and learn more about the contributions made by Black heroes throughout history, even in the face of what always appeared to be insurmountable hurdles.
