The Roman Ridge School excels yet again in the 2021 Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition

The Roman Ridge School (TRRS) has once again excelled in the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition shattering its previous record-breaking performance.

Recognised as the world’s oldest international schools’ writing competition, that provides young Commonwealth citizens the opportunity to share their thoughts, ideas and experiences on key global issues, the results for the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition 2021 have been released with a record-breaking 25,648 pupils around the world from every Commonwealth region participated in the 2021 competition, themed: Community in the Commonwealth.

We are delighted & elated to announce that TRRS presented 450 pupil entries, earning a school record-breaking 283 medals; 56 Gold, 139 Silver & 88 Bronze.

As confirmed by The Royal Commonwealth Society :

  • TRRS had the HIGHEST PUPIL PARTICIPATION of any school in Ghana, Africa and the second-highest globally.
  • TRRS had the HIGHEST NUMBER OF MEDALS of any school in Ghana, Africa and we tied for First Place globally.

We are immensely proud of our pupils for their great enthusiasm to participate and their outstanding achievement on an international level. This is a testimony to the strength and dedication of English Department and indeed our outstanding literacy programme … Ayekoo, Ye bo mo abaso!!!
